About Edición Especial
Cousins Arturo Villa and Cristian Valenzuela began playing at 10 years old in Culiacan, Sinaloa. Together with members Gil Lizarraga and Jesus Alan Obeso, they formed the Musica Mexicana band Edición Especial. The group started their career in Mexico, gaining fame in states like Jalisco, Sinaloa, Baja California, Sonora and beyond. In 2016, Edición Especial recorded their first album titled “Rompecabezas.” The singles “El 3” and “El Doble RR” served to jump start the band’s career by going viral on social media. Since then, the band has gone on to release 4 studio albums, including the latest release “Las Guardadas” in 2023. The band has cemented itself at the top of its genre, collaborating with famed peers such as Fuerza Regida, Grupo Firme, and more.
