Wednesday, September 2, 2009
Community Connection, a charitable program run through American Casino & Entertainment Properties, LLC,
(ACEP) donated $20,000 as well as thousands of dollars worth of supplies to their four adopted local schools.
Throughout the month of August, employees at all four of ACEP's properties (Stratosphere Hotel & Casino,
Arizona Charlie's Decatur, Arizona Charlie's Boulder and Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, NV) collected
thousands of desperately needed school supplies such as paper, pencils and glue.
Community Connection discovered the great need for funding of additional activities and items such as
school assemblies, field trips, and books and made the commitment to donate $5,000 to each of the four
schools. The adopted schools, John C. Fremont Middle School, Doris Hancock Elementary, Will Beckley
Elementary and Coyote Canyon Elementary received the donation at a special dinner held in their honor
at Stratosphere on Wednesday, September 2.
